Are you a "furry"? A fury is a human, who dresses up as an animal. I have been accused of looking like an animal when I get out of bed in the morning, but I don't have a rabbit suit hanging in the closet. (Yes, it just dawned on me about my avatar). I thought furries were sort of made up, and just for fun. Yet, there are real people dressing up as animals. So, are you a " furry"? And did you ever think anybody would ask that question?
 

Back on the ancient days when there were those things called conventions I went to a couple of Comicons here and saw some dressed up like that. They seemed to be having fun and I was amused. Not for me but they did add ambiance to the convention. Careful looking up that word online though 🤣
 
There's a furryfest that takes place here in San Jose most years. When my wife had an art glass center downtown near the convention center we'd see a fair number of people with tails or ears and some in more elaborate more complete costumes. Some of the restaurants and bars would give people wearing at least ears or a tail discounts. It was fun to see them.

I'm not a furry myself and I'm not sure if I know anyone who is but I might. I'm pretty sure one of the years we went to Burning Man we stopped by a human petting zoo that had several furries taking part. We definitely ran into several people who were dressed partially as animals.
 
I saw a lot of furries in San Diego a few years ago at a festival. Several of them were in full costume and it was a day that was hotter'n the hinges of Hell. I just kept wondering...….why????

Have you ever heard of "Bronies"? Those are grown men who attend My Little Pony gatherings and like to dress up appropriately (or it might be "inappropriately" depending on how you look upon grown men attending My Little Pony gatherings, if you get my drift.....)
 
When I chose my user name I had never heard of the furry movement....it led to some weird conversations!
And I didn’t name myself after the Super Furry Animals either.
It is because I like cats....
