A good speller, that's for others to judge. Reading and writing have always been enjoyable, the ability to spell came from that. Mind you, The Oxford English dictionary was always close to hand. At school, I learned the art of writing in a style known as Italic script, written in ink, you don't want to have to write a complete page again because of a single spelling error. I used to proofread as a side gig. One trick is to start from the end of the document and read forward to the beginning. That way you’ll be forced to read each word rather than skimming like we tend to do when reading normally.I'm with @Babs2u on this one. I used to be.
And I can't proofread my own stuff to save my soul. That's not new. It's just something I've never been able to do.
