Are You A Mayflower Descendant?

We come from 'like' backgrounds Lon, my ancestors left the east & came west via Ohio, Missouri & Illinois to escape cultural bias, religious persecution & the right to govern ourselves & takeover the lands that were populated by native inhabitants who opened their arms with little or no concern that we're going to be a blight on their lands. I disowned my membership & asked that my name be removed from the rolls when it became apparent that we were not very nice & had taken advantage of their hospitality.

Are You A Mayflower Descendant?

No, but I am a St. Andrew Gally descendant, of the original immigrant :

Michael Braun (or Brown), frontiersman, master builder, and entrepreneur, is said to have been born in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany. He stepped upon American soil at the port of Philadelphia 26 Sept. 1737, alighting from the ship St. Andrew Gally

I did genealogical research for several years, at one point I hired a professional genealogist(who was also a distant relative)to provide some documentation for research on my paternal g.grandfather, who was orphaned at age 3. The piece in the Link above was done by the same genealogist.

I am thanks to my daughters 30 years of Geneolgy study. I will receive certification of my membership in the Mayflower Society. Whoop de Doo.
