I don't know why, but I HAVE to save bills, and other paper records. When I bought my Pennsylvania home in 1993, I didn't have room for all my papers. It was traumatic when I had to throw out my NYC phone bills from 1972. How do you know I won't need a 20 year old phone number, HUH? So, my present collection of bills only goes back 31 years. Thankfully, it's not getting much bigger since, all my bills are online.
Are you a part time hoarder? Do you have a bunch of things you can't throw away?

I'm not. Yet I'm saddled with boxes and boxes of old checks, magazines, papers, advertisements.
I call it fire fuel.

When you commandeer a bedroom as a walk-in wardrobe, it's time to consider what is no longer a fit, or is no longer worn anymore.

Worked offices too many years---bills, depending on type, are only in my home a year at most except for things pertaining to taxes--those 7yrs. Things like deed to house Birth Certificates in Safe Deposit box.

Books and 'keepsakes' main things i hoard, along with letters and creative writing of my own and people i love. i have a small briefcase of writings by my first hubby who died in 12/78. Can't part with them. Before i moved i went thru old journals of mine and extracted the 'good' parts--those where i had insights and breakthroughs. Also have lots of old photos. Gifts from family and friends. The compass from the last boat my Dad owned and joyful Buddha statue that was Dad's.

No definitely not a problem for me. I live in a 855 sq ft condo and have no clutter. I can easily find anything and my 3 closets aren’t stuffed full either.
