Are you a quick replier, a delayed replier or a never?

I feel a "need" to reply right away if I receive a text message or miss a phone call and don't call back right away. I can't relax until I do... finding myself to be rude otherwise. My brother, however, tends to be a never. Which are you?!

It depends who and what the subject matter is.

If I’m on my way to the barn or in the barn, taking care of the horses, whoever it is can wait unless it’s an absolute emergency.

Or, for example, this morning, the pest control people came to check the termite stations. Thankfully, he didn’t come while I was taking care of the horses, or I would’ve had to have stopped in the middle of what I was doing when he texted me.

Unless it’s an emergency with my animals, I try not to make a mountain out of a molehill with anything and that includes texting.

I never answer the phone unless I know the caller because nine times out of 10. It’s a spam call. I get those every night, without fail, between 7 and 8 PM. They leave me a voice mail telling me my loan has been approved if I just click on the link provided. That would be the loan that I never asked for.😡😡

Depends. My sister asked when we would come and I saw it while grocery shopping, had no time to respond and I didn't know. I first had to ask my son when he had to work. Then I forgot it and she reminded me on Facebook. Then I immediately responded. If it's simple I respond immediately.

I normally answer calls from people I know, so they very seldom get voicemail, but if I miss a call or text, I respond promptly, unless I'm in a doctor's appointment, bank, or such where I cannot talk at that time. As soon as I'm free, I call them - so it's rarely more than an hour in any case.

Our landline phone has an answering machine, so we never answer it, just let it ring till the answering machine kicks in, then we can find out who's calling, and call them back if necessary.

On my mobile I have an app called Mr Number. Any sales calls I get I hang up immediately, then open Mr Number and block the number. As for texts. If it's a spam text I mark it as such and block the sender. If it's family or friends, then I try to respond ASAP, but it depends on where I am and what I'm doing as to how soon that is.

I think before I post. I think about if what I wrote in a post that it won’t offend anyone or be taken out of context. I find it sometimes difficult to write what I want the reader to understand. If I do happen to offend someone, I feel I must apologize. No excuses, just an apology.

It took me three hours to reply to this thread so I guess I am definitely delayed. My internal operating system loads messages the same way my old Windows 95 computer did, slowly and sometimes with mysterious humming noises. On the other hand, maybe my replies are more like a fine wine. They take time to ripen, may not be worth the wait, and occasionally cause headaches.

Same with the phone. I have it on DND cept for favorites in contacts.

Otherwise, as 99% of my not-in-person communication (sans here and Reddit), happens on my android, and I almost always have my android with me, my responses tend to be very rapid.

Edit: Added stuff.
