Obviously, there are a few around on SF. I haven't reached that plateau yet being only 76, but hope to fit the definition eventually. We had a much loved and respected neighbor who at the age of 95 certainly qualified. This gentleman, a WWII veteran, and staunchly religious person amazed us. He rode his bicycle frequently, mowed his yard with a push mower, maintained a beautiful garden, and loved to go to the senior center and dance. He ultimately died as a result of Covid, but not in typical sense.
He had been exposed when attending his oldest son's wake. His family was concerned about its effect and had him visit a clinic, which diagnosed his condition as positive. This individual never routinely took any medications, and maintained a very sensible diet. I never even knew of him even having a cold. The clinic and then a hospital employed what was called a standard treatment protocol that upset his system to the extent that he went into a coma and died within 36 hours of the treatment beginning. Otherwise I firmly believe he would be living next door today.
