Are you a tap water drinker or a bottled water drinker? and why?

Our well water has iron and hence an iron-loving bacteria. The water does not taste too bad but if you drink too much you can have problems. But if you boil it, then it is fine.
I am guessing its not the iron or iron bacteria, probably something else. Boiling it sounds like a good idea.

How deep is the well? How close to the nearest septic tank? And does it have a good surface seal?
