Just for giggles I recently took an online quiz Are You an Introvert or an Extrovert….i think i got the link within a link here on SF. But anyhow….the results said that i’m 100% introvert and that i no doubt eat alone on Friday nights….my immediate thought was HOW DO IT KNOW?!?!

Well people....I use to be very friendly.....I worked in a High School for 25 years....
I don't think I'm friendly anymore....Unless I'm around my family....I have a big family....
I have to know someone to be friendly....But that was a long time ago....After of age, I really
stay with my family, most of the time....Like Christmas Eve....We go to my brother's home
for Christmas Eve....And my family will be there....
I did go out yesterday....Only because my very nice friend for 40 years asked me to come for
lunch....There were five woman that I knew for a very long time....

I've become more of an introvert as I've grown older. I used to have to deal with a lot of people when I was working, but now, in retirement I really don't care to be around a lot of strangers. I open up when with the family and a couple of our neighbors, but otherwise, I just try to be polite, and go my way.

This forum is probably the closest I get to having a "conversation" with those I don't know.

I couldn't agree more. I am definitely an introvert because I find being around lots of people (especially strangers) tiring. I was good in business meetings when I was working, but cocktail parties with small talk wore me out. Now that I'm retired I have a small circle of friends and family with whom I choose to socialize and I never feel exhausted from it.
