I couldn't agree more. I am definitely an introvert because I find being around lots of people (especially strangers) tiring. I was good in business meetings when I was working, but cocktail parties with small talk wore me out. Now that I'm retired I have a small circle of friends and family with whom I choose to socialize and I never feel exhausted from it.I've become more of an introvert as I've grown older. I used to have to deal with a lot of people when I was working, but now, in retirement I really don't care to be around a lot of strangers. I open up when with the family and a couple of our neighbors, but otherwise, I just try to be polite, and go my way.
This forum is probably the closest I get to having a "conversation" with those I don't know.
