Are you eating more or less?

I have noticed that since I retired I have trouble not eating correctly! I never feel hungry but if I have one bite of anything it seems as if I want to eat more and more! It takes a lot of will power not to binge! In the States I did not have this problem. Anybody else find this to be true?
 

Absolutely.. I also have that "binge" feeling all the time.. Seems like the more I eat, the more I want.. I MUST have some control otherwise I will become a "rolly-polly"..
I do a lot of work outside and perhaps that is what is giving me that extra appetite.....
 
I don't think it's more or less for me. Like Steve, I have to watch out for excess plumpness, lol. When I worked, sometimes I would 'pig-out' after work, and then of course I'd have to go to bed pretty early to get up for work the next day. Never a good combo to eat and sleep afterwards. Now I still eat pretty well, try to have a more healthy diet, but will space out my food over the course of the day, so not too much noticeable damage. :p

I find that I'm eating less but I think it's do to the little part time job that I keep. If I'm just sitting at home and doing nothing I will find myself reaching for certain snacks. I think that I eat at those times out of boredom.
 
I find I am eating less than I used to and yet, I am full after my meals. Mind you, I have lost 40 lbs. YEAH!

I don't eat as many carbs as I used to. When I was raising kids, I often made spaghetti and macaroni and cheese and every Friday, we had pizza and ice cream. Now I cut back on all those carbs. And I buy low sugar, low fat ice cream now - and I find it just as tasty!
Occasionally, I do go on a binge, but not that often. So, I am eating less.

Hi Elzee! Way to go! I have been on a "health kick" for the last couple of months but even so I have gained a few pounds because we just finished the monsoon season and I was stuck in the home. I don't mind walking in the rain because it is not cold, but I am leery of falling down. Just not as fond of pain as I used to be! :rolleyes: Now that we have sunny weather again I will start walking once more.
