Are you hot or not?

I NEVER see anyone doing that in the middle of summer out in public, so I just don't. I think there's a room I can leave a jacket hanging in at church. The sanctuary is always cold, so I might do that. But wearing a jacket out on public streets in Texas in summer would just be strange.
well time to forget all about what others think, you're the one who needs to be comfortable... have a look and see what lightweight jackets you can find that would be great for summer

Yesterday I had a guy come work on my tractor. Im working in my flower beds dressed in a short sleeve shirt and capris.
And Im barefoot since theyre adjacent to the patio. He has on a hat, a turtleneck, a long sleeve shirt, and a jacket. And he tells me he's cold.

First let me say its in the 70's here and I personally am hot. I am definitely not looking forward to later when its 80's and 90's.
I hate being hot and theres only so many clothes you can take off and still be decent. :D

Anyways this made me think about how everybody thinks old people are always cold.
Actually I was kinda looking forward to being old and cold. :D

I am you, or at least a brother from another mother. Low seventies are okay with me but I get little bothered as it edges toward 80 and from there on up I don't want to play anymore.

It's around 23 deg C here and despite that being close to my favourite temp (20 to 23), I'm wondering if that's why I'm feeling tired. (could be dehydration really).

I'd be happy on down to 15 C (59 F) as that allows me to be still more active outside - where I like to be.

I agree with Hollydolly you should wear what makes you comfortable. Who cares what other people think.
One of the benefits of being older is being eccentric and not giving a snit.
Have you considered light weight long underwear. You could wear it under your shirt and no one would be the wiser.

My kind of weather. Just cool enuf to wear jeans and a flannel or a corduroy shirt. When Im working outside I can start off with a jacket and take it off later and still be comfortable.

Dang. I thought I was an only child. :D
I can handle low 70's too. 80 and up I agree I dont want to play anymore.
Ive been pushing to get my flower beds weeded and my perennials divided and transplanted while its still cool.

Eddie Bauer has some cool looking rain repellant light and cool zip up blast jackets. We use ours for rainy day ball games and such.

Have you posted any photos of your garden? I’m a Hort-head too.
