i've got plenty of decent clothes...about the only thing i need to replace on occasion are some work shirts and pants for puttering around outdoors. For those, i shop the clearance racks, or stop by goodwill/salvation army every year or so. The last time, i bought 4 pants and 6 shirts for about $25. I took all my old "fat" clothes to the salvation army when i finally trimmed off my belly fat. My routine purchases are probably for socks and underwear. I have a good rack of heavy winter clothes in the basement, and i always keep an eye out for a pair of boots in the clearance racks.
The wife, however, is a "clothes-oholic". She has 3 closets full, including at least 50 pairs of shoes, and we can't drive within 10 miles of a kohl's store without making the "detour"....and she is a "goldstar" shopper on qvc. Last fall, we took 2 big bags, probably 50 lbs., of her "out of style", some still with tags, stuff to the salvation army.
Oh well, she's a great cook and housekeeper, and we get along quite well after almost 50 years, so i keep my mouth shut.
