Are you looking to the future ?

I’m getting a bit fed up with taking things one day at a time, obviously we cannot make definite plans but I can’t wait to see my daughter and her partner again, close friends I normally meet every week, one friend is hoping to travel from Ireland for a short stay at my home and I would like a holiday in the UK

Are you thinking about the time we see an end to Coronavirus and start getting back to normal ?

What is the first thing you would like to do ?

#1: Go shopping and actually see faces.
#2: Go out to eat.
#3: I look forward to seeing my church friends again.

Those have been my primary "people time" activities, since I live alone. This has been too isolating, even for a recluse like me.

Then I'm going to take a nice long drive up Skyline Drive (through the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.) I bought a new car just a year ago and haven't taken it on a trip of any length yet. I could probably do it now, but it seems it would be selfish and irresponsible for some reason.

The first thing I want to do is go out for an entire day without having to think about it.To go where I want, when I want with actual people.I want to see my rugby team play,my cricket team play, attend concerts.
But I fear that we will never be able to do anything that remotely resembles freedom again.I want to move to Sweden where they have not put the entire country into lockdown

I do not think anyone has considered the effects of isolation on those of us who live alone..I have come to realise that I do actually need social contact. At the moment I am just depressed!

Here in Virginia, there was an online post by the county sheriff showing a pic of 4 boys outside playing a game of 2-On-2 basketball. He was lamenting the Social Distancing violation.

Power corrupts.

Chin-up, my friend.

Look at the lesson we've learned about ourselves.

I've always liked having control over the amount of contact I get, but after this I will gladly eschew it for some human company.

I spend a huge percentage of my time alone and, like you furry, this has made me realise how important social contact is, just a short walk, smile and and say hi to others makes all the difference and Thursday night, when the neighbours go out to clap the health workers, has become our Big Night Out 🥳

It seems very mean to close the parks, ours are open but we have to adhere to social distancing of 2 metres, I’m sure we all wish we could say something to cheer you furry, you contribute so much to not only this site but others, and hope things improve soon so you can at least enjoy a walk, x

Buy you and all our friends on SF a drink and give you all a big hug. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

if suddenly all the doors were opened in effect, and we could just return to everything we used to be able to do ( and it won't happen)... would be for me to get on the first plane and go visit my daughter, furkids, and my friends and our second home in Spain.... It's been suggested that when airlines open again flights will go up in price exponentially , I don't care I will pay whatever it costs..

Here in the UK..I want to go and sit and watch the Cricket on the village green on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon in summer ...

I want my husband to return to work, and for me not be afraid he'll get sick and die...

I want to not wake up every morning with a heavy heart

Depending on when it eventually happens, we'll either head off in the camper or catch a plane to somewhere in Europe. Other than that, we'll drive down to the beach and if we're lucky we'll see some dolphins before going to a pub for lunch.

Maybe even head west (if it wasn't full of tourists)
