I have had my share of new experiences, but if any new experiences don't require a lot of extra effort, I may be open to something new. I would really like to meet a lady that enjoys going to the theater.
Ah, but that's what you should do. It's all to do with 'Micromorts' - the chance in a million that you will snuff it. When you are young, the chances of dying of natural causes is very low and so indulging in risky activities is unwise. However as you age, the balance changes and the chances of dying naturally overtakes the risk of dying from an accident. Older people should therefore be more open to taking risks.I don't like the idea of getting out of one's comfort zone. I've spent too much of my life being uncomfortable for no reason.
As to trying new things, I'm interested in trying VR. If that counts as a new experience, I'm in.
If the new experience carries the (higher) risk of getting ill, hurt or dead, I'll pass. Those are not on my bucket list.
lol Odd logic. The benefits have to outweigh the risks or that's just a case of people getting more stupid as they age.Older people should therefore be more open to taking risks.
. . . and I'd just want to be alive more. To each their own.I'd hate to be spending my last days regretting not having done things.
