Are you sick of seeing doctored selfies?

A reporter at the White House Press Dinner took this pic with duck lips after the shooting. I know someone else posted it but I wanted to give it some context. Makes it even worse.

I can't find it to post it here, but at the Smithsonian several years ago, there was a booth where you could have your picture taken and it would show what you would have looked like as a Neanderthal.

Y'know, I think I might have made it into the finals at the Miss Neanderthal 37,000 B.C. Pageant. Especially the Talent Category. I could have done some really fine Mastadon dung sculptures.

What a Neanderthal I am, A quick search brought up pages of photo enhancer apps and programs, I had no idea.
To those who use such sites though, beware. I came across this in the small print:

George Orwell got it right.

The perfect image, as you so eloquently describe it Diva, is perceived as an ideal, typically, as Diva described, featuring flawless skin and an appearance of effortless perfection. Driven by social media and advertising, this unattainable ideal is frequently mistaken for reality, where attractive individuals are wrongly assumed to be happier, more successful, and more intelligent. Many suffer because this illusion is designed to be unattainable, leading to a relentless pursuit of perfection that takes a heavy toll on mental health.
You're absolutely right HC. Thank you for the compliment; your reply was stated eloquently too.

Yes I saw lately on youtube that China has an insane amount of camera's and face recognition. The police showed a guy how it worked. They found him in 7 minutes. Christians are persecuted there too and almost everyone just uses these apps.

They have thousands of thousands cameras everywhere in China with face recognition. I think that even policemen wear cams, which show in an instant who is a 'criminal'.
