Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

Just binged the last 4 eps of Prime's 'On Call'. I really liked it! (y)(y) It's 8 30min eps. I really hope it gets renewed for a S02.

I've only seen two episodes so far of Elsbeth. I think her cases are quirky, which seems to work well in procedurals these days. I saw an interview in which Ramon Rodriquez said Betty is a diva. She's flown in for her parts and has her own entourage of other dogs! Too funny! I love Ramon with his natural curly look and facial hair. OMG!!! I wish they'd let him keep it, but probably not because it wouldn't be GBI enough. And there's something about his eyes! Here's my favorite picture of him.

And he's rockin' the salt and pepper hair in this one. Such a cutie!

Oh man, he IS hot!!

We have a special offer from our cable provider for Disney+ for $10 each for three months. There are so many other things to watch on other outlets. I’d better find some more on Disney.

Missing You was based on a novel. He’s an American who has a deal with Netflix for these series. Many are set in Europe, probably because it’s less expensive. So far, I like all the novels I’ve read.
Right you are, Jules. Coben is American. He also created The Five (2016) and Safe (2018). He's a great novelist, and has won many awards.

But my point about Brits generally being the consistently best TV mystery writers I think is true. Must be something in their genes...

In case I haven‘t already posted this, my wife is watching America’s Funniest Home Videos on Prime. Quite possibly available from other sources. Personally I don‘t find it humorous unless you find endless prat falls funny.

Agreed. They don’t overplay the abilities of their main characters. They have numerous flaws. I’d pay for the British shows if I weren’t so already overloaded with so many signups. When a British show hits Netflix or Prime, it’s my first choice

I'm also watching Will Trent, High Potential, and Elsbeth. I think the first season of Will Trent was much better than seasons two and three, but it's still an entertaining show. Elsbeth is a hoot! She very much reminds me of a modern day, female Columbo... "Just one more thing"
I thoroughly enjoyed both S1 & S2 of Will Trent. I think the first episode of S3 is awesome and intend to watch it again. I'll probably watch the entire series again at some point (already rewatched S1 once). I can see what you mean about the resemblance between Elsbeth and Columbo's methods. She's just quirkier than he was.

I watched first ep of On Call, a Dick Wolf half hour show. Thought I was safe with Wolf, but it opens with a cop getting shot and blood spurting out of her neck while she dies in the street. After that, though, it was good enough that I'll watch again.

Love Poppa's House! When I first saw it, I was watching Damon and Jr and thought "Those two look an awful lot alike..."; then I saw they were father and son. They even behave a lot alike!
The Wayans are one talented family. I don't know if you know this but Damon's older brother Keenan Ivory was responsible for helping launch the careers of Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Carrey, David Alan Grier and Tommy Davidson, as well as his siblings which include Marlon, Sean and Kim with his hit show In Living Color.

After weeks of binging (bingeing?) on nature, After weeks of watching nature shows, I have switched to Myth Busters. OMG! So funny. I sometimes do things just to see what will happen but the things they do? Woah, Nellie!

The other evening, they tested whether the dried concrete that was lining the inside of the concrete truck mixer would come off if they used an explosive in it instead of a jackhammer. An explosive expert started with cherry bombs, which did absolutely nothing, of course, and advanced to tons of explosives. All kinds of emergency personnel attended, along with the FBI and others. Seems to me ATF would've been a better attendee but that's what they said: FBI. Ended up with the entire truck blown to smithereens.

Yep, it broke up all the concrete alright.

My husband used to love that show! There is one where they use a pig's stomach to test the myth about Pop Rocks and carbonated soda.

On Prime, "Murder By the Lake" with German and Austrian police. Watched 2/3rd's of the first episode; likeable characters, interesting story...

Looking forward to watching more, especially since I've gotten bored with current police procedurals-- "Castle" and "Bones," which after several seasons both got silly and trite.

On Prime, The Main in the High Castle, which is great. I watched some of it before and really enjoyed it, but didn't finish it for some reason. Now I've started over and will finish and maybe listen to the audio book after.

I finished The Sons of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness (Netflix) last night during my workout. It was interesting enough to watch while exercising. I don't think I'd sit on the couch and watch it, though. I'd feel like I was wasting my time.
