The young actor who played Jude had such an interesting face. He was kinda mesmerizing
He was!! I Wiki'ed him and found out that he played the lead merboy in Mako Mermaids and I didn't realize it. It was a spin off of H20: Just Add Water, about three teenaged girls who discover they are mermaids. Loved that show, didn't like Mako, nor his performance back then, so only watched a couple of episodes. He looked entirel different back then.

Seeing him in Night Sky, I thought he was Hispanic, but he's a mixture of Thai and Australian. Looking at some of these pictures, he could also pass for Native American I think, so he's had several different looks. Here are some photos....knock yourself out....

It's interesting. I watched the first couple of episodes and I have enjoyed it. I think I'll wait until all the episodes are released and binge it.
The promo for the show intrigued me so was thinking about adding it to my already extensive watchlist. Seeing you and @Jules comments about it has made me more interested. I will go ahead and add it.

...

Started watching a show called Arthur and George about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It's on Hoopla. I just got my library cards renewed in the last couple weeks. They weren't going to expire until August but I use them every day, so I wanted to make sure they got renewed. I was so excited when they were renewed.
Took your advice and watched the 3 part miniseries. I'd been wanting to see Martin Clunes in another type of role after watching the entire run of "Doc Martin".

Th detective tale with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and sidekick Woodie was pretty enjoyable, although a bit slow in parts. My thinking was that the writers had just made up a story substituting Doyle and Woodie for Holmes and Watson. But when I looked it up, turns out that Doyle in fact HAD sleuthed out the actual facts behind two contemporary murder crimes around 1906, which resulted in their false convictions being overturned. Never knew that!

I just looked him up too. It looks like the relationship part of the story is true too. His wife died around that time, and he had a relationship with a new woman shortly after. He was so tormented with guilt in the show.

So Paradise....I started watching yesterday; haven't finished the first episode yet, mostly because I've been either busy or sleeping. Plus I have to be in a certain frame of mind. So far my thoughts are WTH is the body guard handling things the way he is?! But it looks like a keeper. I also noticed that the body guard (Sterling K. Brown) reminds me of my very first boyfriend at age 14. My mother used to call him "catfish mouth boy" and that kind of turned me off to him. But Benny was a very nice guy...may he R.I.P.

@Jules...did you recently subscribe to Disney+ ?

i started 12 movies last weekend on Netflix and ditched em all after 5 min. I can't find anything good to watch.
Not surprising Anne. Netflix has become a vast wasteland. That's one of the reasons I'm not rushing to resubscribe. Another is their ridiculous price hikes. But you'd think they'd up their game after hiking the prices so much, not downgrade the content! :cautious:

@CooCooforCoCoPuffs I know a few people who Landman is a great show. For that reason, I may eventually check it out even though at first I didn't think the premise would interest me,

I look forward to what you think as the series goes on :)

We're now watching "Safe" on Netflix. It is based on a book by Harlan Coben. It stars Michael C. Hall (Dexter) with a British accent. His daughter and her boyfriend disappear. It is set in a wealthy gated community where lots of the residents have skeletons in their closets. Lots of twists and turns!

We watched "Missing You", also by Harlan Coben, and were hooked.

I really liked this movie! I thought that was MCH'S real accent....he fooled me. Never watched him in Dexter, so I didn't know the difference. 🤷‍♀️
It looks like H.C has a few movies out on Netflix that sound interesting.

I've been watching Million Dollar House Hunters on Disney/Hulu+. I enjoy seeing the modern architecture, designs and decor that many of the homes have. Most of the time, I accurately guess which houses will be chosen. What gets me is how much some are willing to pay for houses that are sandwiched (too closely IMO) between other homes, have only a peekaboo views of the ocean (when they're looking for ocean views) and what they get for their money according to what areas the homes are in.

Another thing I've noticed is that to look at the appearances of some buyers, one would never guess that they could afford multi-million dollar homes. I've seen a couple of ladies who seriously needed to visit hair salons, others showed up in raggedy looking jeans (the style now, I guess). Some of the men are also ultra casual. The host always looks stylish whether in pants or dresses.

I'm on S3 and so far most of the homes have been in California. I have no doubt some of the buyers lost their homes in the recent fires. Here is the S3 marathon and more episodes are available for free on YouTube.

Tried watching a couple police procedurals on Amazon Prime.

1) "The Cases of Inspector Vrenko" (from Solvenia)-- gave up after 1.5 episodes. Soooo slow. all filming in muted/drab tones.. depressing just to watch

2) Season 3 "Bay" (Britbox original, filmed in Morecambe, UK--I was like, "I know that view!!" ) Got through 4.5 out of 6 episodes. Essentially unsympathetic characters, long-drawn-out 'action' (and I'm not a big fan of bust the door down with guns blazing kind of action), too many subplots

Ok, back to the drawing board...
