Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

Just finished the first episode of Fargo, season 4.
Never watched any of the series. Liked the movie with the PG policewoman, a wood chipper and the hapless automobile salesman. Who but the Coen Bros would think to use crime fighting pregnated woman cop, chase and shoot a cold blooded killer across a frozen lake?

Yes, watched and like 'The Bridgertons' on Masterpiece PBS.

To my taste the first 3 seasons, especially the 1st, were the best. The series started downhill with the 4th season, then totally went off the rails in the 5th season. Creator Noah Hawley originally said that season 5 would be the last. But when he finishes work on the Alien TV series (premiering August '25), he hinted that he might return to Fargo. I think he should let it alone and do something else entirely.

Not watching Oz anymore, too depressing. Now I'm watching Treme, which is about post-Katrina New Orleans.
We actually got much worse actual hurricane wind and flood damage here on the western Miss. Gulf Coast. 10-15 miles of coastal communities were obliterated. New Orleans didn't suffer all that much damage from Katrina's winds, but when the levee on the Miss. River broke it completely flooded an entire area of East New Orleans. They had known about that danger for years, but never bolstered the levee system.

We were without electricity for 3 weeks, but the house was still standing.

I just started streaming Cassandra on Netflix, about a 1970s AI robot with sinister intent. It's right up my alley; I love creepy stuff. I've seen only Episode 1 so far but looking forward to Episode 2 tonight and subsequent episodes.

Ooo, post your opinion when you've seen a bit, if you're of a mind, please. I love creepy stuff too. Well, creepy, but not disturbing.

I'm still working on rounding out my Star Trek watching. I've finished Prodigy and am now working on Picard, which has been good, so far. I'm in season two now. I have noticed something happening, or appearing to happen, in the show that does not line up with what I've read in the novels.

The show doesn't have to follow the novels, of course, but this occurrence was referenced in Prodigy so I'm wondering now if it will pan out eventually in Picard.

After Picard, it's seasons 3 - 5 of Discovery and then I've officially seen every episode of Star Trek and most of the movies, which I think will help with understanding some of the storylines in the later novels.

tubitv.com.
Totally free with over 275,000 titles from every era and genre of film and television. At least, that's what the company says; it's nearly impossible to verify given the library's size. Claims it has more than Netflix.

I am watching 24 hours in A and E.
323 45 minute episodes.
Initially set in Kings College Hospital, Camberwell, south London.
Medical Documentary giving viewers behind the scenes access to very busy A and E departments over a continual 24 hour period.
I am about to start series 3 of 32 series.

Timeless 2016 TV series.

Only 2 seasons, I guess (as so often) science fiction is over the heads of general audiences. We have lost so many great shows before their time!

Time travel crime and conspiracy chase. But who are really the good guys, and the bad?

I'm watching on Tubi.

I, too, thought it was rather dark. I didn't care for Season 3 at all. I'm rewatching Season 1, which I did think was pretty funny.

Have you finished it, @Pepper?
I know you didn't ask me, but we've watched all 3 seasons. Season 3 was enjoyable mostly because of the extremely shallow family with Parker Posey as the matriarch but overall I thought it was pretty weak. I found the whole story with the massage therapist, her son and her nemesis from Season 2 especially boring. Walton Goggins is great in The Righteous Gemstones but I thought his curmudgeonly character was a mess. The 3 long-time friends were funny when they were talking behind one another's backs but aside from that, meh. Carrie Coon is fantastic in The Gilded Age so I felt her acting talents were wasted.

Finished up Season 4 of Fargo. Neutral on feelings. It isn’t known for being heart warming. I did manage to watch all 11 episodes. One tiny little twist after the credits started to roll.

Turning Point, The Vietnam War. On Netflix

Quite a trip down memory lane for me. Also filled in a lot of blanks for me as I wasn't exactly keeping up on current affairs back in those days.

I will say that during my time over there Aug. of 1970 - Aug. 1971 All I cared about was counting down the days till I got out of there. Even though I was in a rear area in a non combat role (Air Force Medic) I was angry about being there. I was angry at the politicians that has sent us there. I was angry at the lifers that pretended that they believed in this crap, I was angry at the gooks ( yes I called them that) that expected us to fight their war for them, and I was angry at the anti-war protesters back home because I doubted their sincereity. I belived the only reason they were protesting was because they didn't want to be here. I was just an angry young man.

Watching 5 episodes of Vietnam War history dredged up a bunch of shit from the past that I almsot never think about these days.

i really enjoyed this movie on Netflix:

Toscana - When a Danish chef travels to Tuscany to sell his father's business, he meets a local woman who inspires him to rethink his approach to life and love.

@Medusa, I'm about halfway through this series and still enjoying it. It actually seems to be more of a drama than scifi or horror. So far it's still creepy but not disturbing! But I can post again after I've seen all the episodes if you like.
