Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

I have to say, @JustDave and @JeeperDon, Law & Order SVU, now in its 20-plus season, is still very good. I watch it every night and am always moved and glad to watch it. The great Mariska Hargitay is much of the reason it's lasted well for so long.

I'd started watching One Day on Netflix a couple of months ago but lost interest. Picked it back up a few nights ago - skimmed through a few episodes to refresh my memory, and finished the series last night. Glad I did.

Black Rabbit (2025)

Have only watched the first 2 episodes of this Netflix 8 ep. series. I had high hopes for it given the heft of actors Jude Law and Jason Bateman. But so far it's heavy on the misery, making it unsettling-- Jake's (Jude Law) brother Vince (Jason Bateman) shows up at Jake's NYC restaurant to reconnect after having earlier left town owing a large chunk of change to the mob. But the guy is a total loser and a gambling addict. Law's character too is an impractical dreamer type who flirts with bankruptcy.

The story situation seems vaguely familiar, and the continual self destruction of the brother starts gnawing at the viewer much like fingernails on a blackboard. I don't know if that approach will let up.

And of course there's non stop gutter language (I guess because it's New York?) which strains credulity.

The wife likes the show more than I do, so we may watch another ep. or two. But I have the feeling that this production will have been a waste of acting talent.
