Wanting to watch that, too. ^^^
Just finished The Burroughs. It's a bizarre one, but entertaining and pulls you in. No regrets.Today i thought i'd watch the first episode of the Burroughs on Netflix ended up watching 5, will watch the other 3 tomorrow. Kinda Sci-Fi/Horror. Produced by the Duffer Brothers who gave us Stranger Things. Should've known they'd hook me! This time the main characters are seniors. There is a plot device in common--just as many people make assumptions about kids imaginations people often make assumptions about the cognitive functioning of seniors. Also both groups often aren't really listened to by the between generations which can be annoying but also can lead lead to either group putting something over or getting the upper hand in some way because their smarts and abilities were underestimated.
Same here, kept me interested and loved the characters.Just finished The Burroughs. It's a bizarre one, but entertaining and pulls you in. No regrets.
Have that on my list,, but am way behind watching things. For anyone who has an Amazon Prime subscription, a series entitled Imperfect Women has been released and it stars two powerhouse actresses... Kerry Washington and Elisabeth Moss. Kate Mara is no slouch either. It is a thriller/drama that chronicles three long-time friends and starts with one of them being murdered.
Basically everyone in the series is "imperfect" as friends, husbands and kids are all damaged. It has lots of great twists and turns. We've seen 7 episodes, and the finale airs on Wednesday. If you enjoyed Big Little Lies, to me this is similar and recommended.
We finished our last series so we searched Netflix again. A new thriller set in Spain came up. It is based on a book called "The Snow Girl" and involves a 5 year-old girl who is abducted at a Christmas festival in Malaga. Of course, it has the usual cast of characters... a "seasoned" journalist with his new, young female apprentice and a hardened female detective with her young male sidekick. We're into the second episode and have enjoyed it. We love shows set in other countries. BTW, this one is now dubbed in English.
A second season has already dropped, so the first season clearly had an audience.
Will have to check that out, i've watched a some Spanish mystery movies and enjoyed them. I watched a lot of foreign movies as a teen and in my early twenties living where there were theaters that were dedicated to them and Independent American films.
I've watched all the Death by Fame episodes on ID. They were good. I watched the first Hollywood Demons about Stephen Collins and couldn't believe it!on hbo max i've been binge watching eye of the storm, death by fame, hollywood demons and one other one about boy bands.
We are 5/6 of the way through it. It is very good, because it is gritty and realistic. Relies on character and suspense rather than shootouts.I watched Legends on Netflix recently it was excellent too
