Aretha Franklin has died

So sad to lose her, grew up listening to her music, truly the Queen of Soul. She was loved by many, will always be remembered...rest peacefully dear Aretha, I'll miss you. :rose:

 

I'm sorry to hear'queen of soul' has left us,but she is in a better place now

Been playing her music all my life, it seems. Loved the 20/20 tribute about her last night on ABC. I have 2 of her cd's in my car I listen to along with the Temptations, etc. Still the best music around.
 
I cringed when I read that someone said she was ‘just an entertainer.’
She was the QUEEN of soul. She earned EIGHTEEN Grammy awards!!!
Count then! 18!

It seems almost surreal to me. Perhaps I expected her to always be there.
I certainly took for granted that she would always be there and in my heart she will be.

She sang at Martin Luther Kings funeral & Obamas , Carter’s & Clinton’s inauguration

R.I.P. Aretha :heart:You WILL be missed!!!

Keesha,I agree with you,also she was the first woman inducted into the Rock nRoll Hall Of Fame Sue
