Arisaig House where they Trained Spies is for Sale.

Gorgeous!

A dream home it would be!

At just shy of $4M Canadian, it's well out of my reach, too.

We can dream, Mike. :)

With 14 bedrooms a person could make it into a luxury hotel. But for that price plus the upkeep, it might be a long time before it started making money. (forgot to check how many bathrooms it has)

The laundry machines are in the kitchen, and that's common in the UK, but I still found it kinda funny.

Lovely idea, Mur!

38 bedrooms in all, phew! I cannot imagine, and as for the laundry appliances in the kitchen, that would be tops on my list to have changed.

What a romantic getaway it would make!

38? I thought it said 14...must have been one of the others in the listings.
38 bedrooms could definitely pay off. But, yeah, the washer and dryer would have their own room someplace in there.

It lists Arisaig House as having 12 Bedroom Suites, with additional bedrooms as well as domestic quarters, but when adding in the estate houses...

• Gardener's Cottage: 2 Bedroom Cottage
• Fagus Lodge: 3 Bedroom House
• Achnahanat: 4 Bedroom Bungalow
• Orchard House: 5 Bedroom House overlooking the Walled Garden
• Chef's Cottage

Grand bedroom total comes to 38.

What a party it would be, Mur! LOL!

There'd be a whole lot of fun going on! ROFLMAO! :giggle:

One shared bathroom in the kitchen.

It's an absolutely glorious house with separate cottages, making 38 rooms in total ...the gardens would take a lot of upkeep, that's a very rainy part of Scotland, and unfortunately the sea is very rarely anything but grey there.. but if I had the money I would buy it and let it out as flats

I read once that the Americans who were trained there
by the SOE (Special Operations Executive) during WWII
and lived, were then to become the founding members
of the CIA.

Even if I had the money, I wouldn't want to buy something like that. You would need an army of servants, and that would cause too much hassle.

What a wonderful place to be a child or a spy!

It looks like it would be a real bargain at only £2,250,000!
