Beautiful! Is it for hanging, or a shawl of some kind?Love that and new to me.
And meanwhile my wife completed a new weaving yesterday based on a photo taken of a plant seen on a walk with the dogs in the last couple weeks. I like the ‘brushstroke’ like quality of the threads on the surface and the shading of colors. It doesn’t yet have a name and I haven’t yet traced down the species name of the plant though I suspect it is a garden escapee Plectranthus.

You must be very proud of your wife, Mark.It is a piece for the wall. Pretty much all her work has been of that kind although she has done some sculptural pieces.
Her other work can be seen here. Lia turned 80 a few months ago. When she got this American Craft award recently they put together this video which I like a lot.
Awarded the 2022 Gold Medal for Consummate Craftsmanship by the American Craft Council / Watch Video

I love her work; especially the plant/leafy things. Thanks for showing us her amazing exhibits. My goodness her work is display all over!~
Is this the lady who coined the phrase..... "I can't do a thing with my hair"?

the men seemed enthralled almost spellbound by her gentle prose perhaps?
