Art, anything goes...

One of my uncle's paintings from long ago, click on it to enlarge it.

Another of my uncle Hans paintings in my bathroom, I have 4 of them. Click on it to enlarge it.
Enlarging them just takes my breath away!! Like RadishRose said..."Powerful and Beautiful"!
If he's not famous he should be.

You know what I find very creative about that one @Wayne is that your Uncle Hans painted calm waters but with the sky grabbing our attention for a pending doom approaching causing us to wonder what's going to happen next. The fact that he chose mostly black and white with a touch of blue added to that mood he was creating.

Posting the ones from going there today made me nostalgic to see earlier ones.

Golden Gate Bridge seen over all those hearts left in SF.

This next one still exists but time has not been kind.

There are also painted works, tile works and mixes like this. I think it bears blowing up.

Impromptu birds fashioned with flowers of pampas grass are a recurring theme.

The mounted warrior in the background is completely gone now but I have some good shots of this too.

Shooting the artwork here is like shooting plants in my garden. They may be back for another season or for many or never again. Sometimes they come back better. Sometimes diminished. Impermanence incarnate like us.

Rose, is this your painting? It is a very difficult still life, especially with the glass jar...whom ever did this...is very talented.
