As Mom Gets Older.

This is one of those posts that really hits home ❤️ makes you realize how the “little things” aren’t so little after all… I actually wasn’t expecting to get emotional scrolling TikTok today 😅 and now I’m sitting here thinking I should probably call my mom before I keep scrolling. It’s funny how we don’t always notice these moments until something like this puts it into perspective.
What’s one small thing your mom does that always sticks with you?

My mom's been gone for almost six years, but not a day goes past without my seeing or thinking something that I would like to talk to her about.

She was always interested in hearing about what the little ones had said or done, or a funny bumper sticker I'd seen, or a new recipe I was going to try.

Sometimes our conversation would be but a minute long....other times we'd talk til our ears hurt.

I miss my mama.

It’s just as important for us to honor our parents as it is for them.

Too many people go through their later life torturing themselves about family relationships in search of a doover or justification for their behavior towards their parents.

It’s just as important for us to let the younger members of the family dote on us even if we may not need the help we should have the grace to accept it.

Make good memories, in the end that’s all any of us will have.
