Ascot ties: Sharp-dressed man, or silly old man trying to look hip?

I'm amazed, it looks better than I thought. Your nice smile and personality stops it from appearing affected. It's a hit!

You can also pull it up over your face next time you rob a train, like in the Old West- they wore "cravats" too of a sort.

That's not Ascot dress.

Ties are de rigeur at Ascot. I'm not sure about the current rules for a two day stubble, but I suspect he would be discreetly offered a razor.

A man in a cravat must always face face the suspicion that he may be a cad.

FYI: Here, in The States, we call such ties "Ascots."
