Astronomy Events In May

I like those shows where they tell you about seeing Mars, or Jupiter. But I never could find where in the sky, they were. "On the Southeastern horizon". I can't even find the horizon., never mind "near the Constellation Omega 3".I used to have a telescope as a kid, and loved watching the moon. I still remember the night I noticed the stars moving across the sky. ( Yeah, it's really the Earth spinning) but it was freaky that I could confirm a law of physics with my own eyes.
