Nasty business.

Supposedly they had one of their engines flame out. What I don't understand is, one report mentioned that the flight data recorders have already been recovered, yet there are still people trapped in the wreckage.

I would think people would have priority over electronics ...
 
I hear the death toll now is at least 31. I wasn't aware that the car in the video was actually hit, thought he was just swerving...wow.
 
Absolutely stunning/horrifying video.

I think what's happening with a lot of these Asian Airlines is that this is probably the first or second generation of common/more frequent air travel. They've grown complacent, the industry wether it be the pilots or maintenance crews. In decades past in alot of these smaller countries air travel was rare enough every flight and plane probably got meticulous attention.
