Do you still write and receive personal letters? I don't and it's a bit sad.

This is an infuriating waste of tax payers’ money, IMO. A year into the pandemic someone in the postal system has decided we need to find a way to communicate. Duh, email, texts, phone calls. If you liked writing letters, you would have already been doing it. The movement of mail is way behind schedule and now we want to add more volume.

I don't write anymore, Mellow, and it's a shame.

I used to enjoy sitting down at the table on a quiet day or evening and writing family/friends. I never did it often... a few times each year, and I always cherished receiving a person letter from others.

There was always something so much more personal and loving about holding onto a hand-written letter and reading it, knowing the person that wrote it and sent it put their heart and soul into it.

The internet killed writing. People used to tell me I had a beautiful handwriting.I am almost illegible now and I blame the internet but I'm not going to give it up. Maybe my handwriting is so bad because I am so old?

Never heard about this - what a waste of money. Yes, I do send Christmas and birthday cards but I haven't written a letter in quite awhile as my handwriting is horrible (partly due to arthritis).

Your story is mine.

Having been out of school for 40 years now and not keeping up with my handwriting, I've lost so much of what I used to have.
