I have been spending too much time on the computer so I've decided to take some time off'

December 31st will be my last day to be on here this year. After that I will take some time away from the computer and won't be back until January 1st of next year.

If any of you miss me too much, feel free to call me.

We will miss you terribly Rky but will soldier on in the interim. If you feel you must deprive us of your company for that inordinate length of time then the least we can do is offer our understanding of your need for solitude.

I'm sure you'll return to us refreshed from the long break.

It reminds me of a sign in Sitka, Alaska, "Annual Rain Festival: Jan 1 - Dec 31."
 

Don't do it! It isn't all that bad! Please, step back from that ledge - think of everything you have to live for!

If you won't do it for yourself, then do it for me, your long-lost son! Remember, Dad? Remember when Mom put me in the orphanage because you didn't have enough money left over after those beer runs to buy me any formula? Remember?!? And you told me that the Sisters of Infinite Compassion would raise me to be a caring, loving person who could wear more than a couple of beer cozies on each leg to stay warm?

Larry, please give me your number in a PM. I don't think I can handle the withdrawal, and I may need to get some comfort through your gentle assuring voice. I understand though, you do deserve a relaxing break, just please, oh please, don't forget about us and leave us forever! :concern: :distress:
