Attorney General James Files Lawsuit to Dissolve NRA

We all know ourselves better than anyone else. If you acknowledge that you're insane, have no self control and a terrible enough temper to kill someone out of anger, NO weapon is for you; not even anything sharp - in the kitchen.
But, not everyone is like you (Thank goodness)
If thats your mind set, there is other weapons out there to do the job.

Guess what? Here, in Ca, you can't own a gun until you pass a written test and also a detailed background check & a 10-day wait for each purchase.
They should do the same when purchasing a car. Are you in the right mind set to own one? Stats show more people are killed or injured in car accidents.

Everyone is talking about guns but the NRA has become a criminal organization under La Pierre. He runs it like an organized crime syndicate. I don't think the Attorney General will get anywhere with her lawsuit. The damn organization needs to get rid of it's leadership and reorganize. Ha that may happen when?

Do the statistics show that the accidents were caused by mental illness? It seems to me that doctors have to report any serious reason why you shouldn't be driving to the issuing offices of permits.

I asked if your freedoms were a concern for you because the thread claims the NRA protects those freedoms. You say you don't care but your post says you do care. The NRA are against background checks or registrations or restrictions. Now surely if someone is turned down it must have stopped someone from getting a weapon that should not have one. Laymen look at things a lot different than gun aficionados . Yes I know they can get a gun illegally but you have to start somewhere and the NRA are having none of it. Your post shows you are siding with them to my way of thinking. Should a felon getting out of jail after committing a weapons crime be allowed a weapon? I say he shouldn't. That would be against the Second Amendment interpretation by the gun lobby supported by the NRA. Their slogan is no infringement.
I am not an NRA member. I don't think of the NRA as "Protecting my freedom." They are an organization that exists to make money (like any other).

I look at the whole thread, not just what one member posts.
The claim here is that the NRA protects your freedoms via the Second Amendment. That's o.k., I don't have any problem with that.
They exist to make money is correct but under what guidelines and procedures?
They contribute to the political parties. Then the political party endorses or blocks laws relating to guns and that affects everyone, member or not.

They have to contribute to political parties to show their dedication to their cause. Like any other entity.
They make money under the guise of "Protecting our freedom." They know people can be programmed into believing just about anything & the subject of gun ownership & freedom is an emotional one. For many people, anger & frustration over the loss of freedom causes people to act on that emotion instead of their common sense & dig into their pockets.
Every charity does the same thing.

In Australia, first they registered guns and then they came back and confiscated them. I believe the Nazis did that too.

I bought a revolver in California in 1958. I recently sold it and in all that time it never once climbed out of the box and shot at anyone.
