Aussie prison drama Wentworth

Has anyone watched the Foxtel show Wentworth? It is out of Australia. It just finished its 9th and final season. Plays here in US on Netflix several months after each season ends its run. I am on Season 8 now. Final season should come on Netflix later this year

It is much like OINB in that focus is a women's prison. There was a old show somewhere called Prisoner in Cell Block H. Which this is based on.
It did take me a bit to get used to the accent, but now it is easy
 

Some years ago now I watched a great programme in a womens prison in Australia, 'Wentworth,' I wonder if it's a repeat or re run of the same programme.I
 
yes years ago... didn't realise it was still being shown, I'd forgotten all about it tbh.... I used to watch Cell Block H, decades ago, I enjoyed that but of course today it would look horribly dated .. I remember laughing at the set, which used to move, it was so cheaply made even the prison bars would wobble and walls would shake when doors were slammed .. :D

The final season is on Netflix now. I finished it up the other day. Not totally thrilled with how they wrapped it up, but it still had a good run and I enjoyed it
