Australia had its deadliest day in the coronavirus pandemic, with 19 fatalities in the state of Victoria. Coronavirus infections among U.S. children grew 40% in the last half of July, according to a report that comes amid heated debate over whether schools should re-open in the fall.

(So sad cuz they were doing better than other countries :( )

That is sad news. It sounds like the disease just keeps lurking, waiting to get its evil foot in the door. I hope it stays away from New Zealand!
It will - at least for as long as NZ keeps its doors shuttered. Once it reopens, all bets will be off.

In my state, we have seen the highest numbers in the last week...... The percentage of infections related to those 18 and under is 9.6% over time.... the majority of those contracting the disease are between 20 and 40. I believe these people think they will only get a light case and move on.... they take fewer precautions, socialize more, and spread it on. In my BIL's family.... they had a graduation party the end of July....within two weeks, 25 members of the family were infected or on quarantine. Unfortunately, my BIL died the next week (not covid) ..... all the family could do was have an outside brief ceremony at the cemetery..... Believe it or not.... active, infected people came to the brief funeral service. Those people between 20-50..... they just won't stay home and stay safe......

If you care you will take precautions..... at any age.... or live with the consequences.

Staying home and taking precautions works wonders. I don't go near crowds. Food shopping etc, face shield with gloves that I clean going in and out of stores. Have told everyone that until this settles in one way or the other, no one enters my house. Fine visiting outside at safe distance, it can be done... THink of those that are not so healthy that you go near!!
