Australia negotiating with an Italian security software & surveillance company(Hacking Team) that did business with the Sudan and other repressive regimes.

Contract would be for spy and surveillance software. The company under investigation by the UN Security Council for some things.

This is the first I've heard about this but the source (ABC) is a credible one.
Nothing surprises me in this area any more.

Apparently they are known for their intrusion and surveillance software. The UN investigation is for abuses coinciding with uses of their software. The company itself was also hacked.

I guess any company could have been business dealings with not so ethical or nice people. But from a business standpoint if they delivered the product and they got paid unless it was illegal prior there isn't much that could be done. I guess many want a boycott or ban list of some kind.
