Still maybe two weeks to go, but Persimmons start getting the right color; today I ate the first Mission Figs of the year; Pomegranates have to turn reddish before being ready for harvesting; Olives have to turn purple; while the lemon is ready to go to the kitchen

I love pomegranates .... in Spain we have orange and lemon groves, as well as fig trees...

I just found some pawpaws on my trees in the front yard. I hope to find more. My apple tree is loaded so much that the limbs are bending. I'm going to pick the biggest to make some applesauce for canning.

"pawpaws" is a dead giveaway that you're an Aussie. Anyway, I grow papayas (pawpaws) in my yard as well. In fact, a bird just helped itself to a few pecks of one of mine.
