that surprises me the way you spelled this word. Simply because my understanding has always been that Americans spell it Donut... whereas British , Australian,and NZ spell it Doughnut as you have done... have I been misled ?Doughnut

I've always spelled it doughnut, which was the standard when I learned it. My personal opinion since I saw it happening, was that brands got lazy and started spelling it "donut" and it stuck. Never looked right to me that way.that surprises me the way you spelled this word.
