Back porch succulent

Grampa Don

Yep, that's me
I was sitting on the back porch this morning and looked down and saw this. I figured I'd share it.

Yeah, whenever I go to California, I wished that I would have followed my dreams and moved out there in the late '60's.

Beautiful picture.

that is lovely don --is it new and first time its bloomed ?

Thanks for the comments

Toffee -- It's been there a long time and blooms every year. It started out as a small thing in a pot and I transplanted it. The flower is only about a half inch across.

Before her unexpected death, my s-i-l lived in Orange County out near Anaheim Stadium. I was out there the night the Stones were in concert and we sat outside on her patio listening to the concert while sipping on wine and eating some kind of Mexican comfort food. Whatever it was, it was very tasty.

Oldman -- We live just a few miles from Anaheim Stadium. Like anyplace, there are good and bad things about our area. I'm glad you have some good memories of it.

Don that is just beautiful. I'm just getting into succulents but as house plants. I've had them for a month now and they are doing well.
I have white stone around the base of them so the leaves don't lay on the dirt and rot. I also water them very sparingly. They grow slowly which is why I chose them. I love plants on my kitchen window sill but it is very narrow. If these grow I won't have to repot them for a long while.
Is the plant in a pot or directly in a garden? It certainly looks like a healthy plant.
