However, going by the topic header - I would definitely say the school police officer has a lot to answer for, and yes, he should spend time in jail.

Lord knows I can understand her failure to act. The brute and pathetic excuse of a lawman appeared crazed, on drugs, alcohol, a combination of both, severe mental health issues or enjoyed brutalizing school kids.

I wasn't there and the only way to really appraise the sergeant's reaction to her intervening is to know what happened from the point of first contact with the subject. IMHO when the dust settles on this fiasco she will not be popular with any of her fellow officers.
