Many customers complained they could not see their account balances. Some who could access their accounts were startled to see zero balances.

In a statement to CNN, Bank of America acknowledged that “some clients are experiencing an issue accessing their accounts and balance information today.”

According to reports I saw, people also couldn't access money from BOA ATMS.

I got a little scare this morning. When I went into my Chase account, to which my son's is also linked, it was not showing our bank accounts, only the charge accounts. Then I realized I must've accidently hit the ! icon, which closed those fields. That has never happened to me before. Sometimes actions take place on my tablet even though I'm barely touching it. Anyway...it must be extremely frightening to log in to your account and see "zero", especially since scams and hacking accounts is so widespread these days.

The only issue with my BofA accounts were a failure to send deposit notifications, emails, on two recent deposits.

My balances were fine and my credit card worked fine.

It did make me think about bumping up my cash on hand a little.

Oh, Wells Fargo did that to me once. It showed 0 balance on an account that I hadn't done anything with for a while. Apparently, that's what they do if you don't do anything. The money's still there, it just won't show.

Needless to say, that account was closed the next morning. Ain't putting up with THAT sh!t.

A good reason to check the abandoned property websites for each state that you have lived in.
