Bankrupt Greece..................

............. plus Spain, Italy Portugal plus a few others who are
all in danger of following Greece, may have the wrong people
in Government!

I say this because throughout the "Financial Crisis" which
started a few years ago, the only businesses that improved
their status over this period are "Sports Teams".

All sport no matter the shape or size of the ball, or no ball,
have profitted, so perhaps it is time to start electing sport
teams' boards of directors into Government in all failing
Countries and those who need a boost to speed up their
recovery.

If they do the job properly and rescue the whole country,
then they could have anything that they wanted.

It looks like socialism is a good way to destroy a government and we do not need this pushed on the US.

Some cries that city and state operations in the US are socialism. Maybe in some detail they are but they are not the federal levels that can force the entire nation to follow those wrong ways of operating and then the US will look no different than all those European countries do.
 
Difference of opinion is what makes these forums possible and sometimes fun.

I just hope that as soon as our next government, left or conservative, gets elected they will try to return the US to the Constitution ways and somehow cut down our governments activity in our daily lives.

Did you EVER stop to consider that perhaps a 228 year old document written in 1787 may just need a little update to comply with modern times and society? Seriously... It's a nice outline.. but even the founders left ways to make changes to it... This country is supposed to be an evolving growing thing.. not stagnated in the 18th century.. There is no way the founders could have anticipated the world the way it is today.. OR our society the way it has evolved.. shouldn't we take that into consideration and not stay stuck like glue to outdated principles?

That is why the Constitution has allowed Amendments to be added to it. And we are now at Amendment 27. When ready the next will be known as Amendment 28.

Our Constitution is not outdated as you claim. Far better as we do than as so many countries just dump something and start over with someones elses idea. This keeps the radicals from jumping in and causing massive grief for everyone.

One problem with austerity, that you don't like, is there is not enough in the countries funding to cover all the unnecessary hand outs to the non working citizens. Best do something to bring back industry or business so they no longer need all those handouts.

What the US did in the 1930's was to get some major projects going and that meant many folks got jobs to do. Supplies for these jobs created more jobs. People were not allowed to just sit back and complain about things, they needed to work to get wages. Those that did not work had to do with handouts. Many ended up living on the streets and begged. I believe we called many 'tramps'. This could happen again after the free handout folks really break the US bank.

Ours was signed at Runnymede in 1215 and still does fairly well!
