Sherri Shepherd has claimed.

Iconic journalist Walters - who died on December 30 2022 aged 93, allegedly had her steamy romance with Pryor exposed when comedian Paul Mooney walked in on the pair having sex, Shepherd claimed on Wednesday's episode of Sherri.

During a chat with former The View co-star Joy Behar, 81, Shepherd said: 'The thing about you is I would tell you stuff and you would go and tell it.

'I told you I had run into Paul Mooney, Paul Mooney has said he caught Barbara Walters with Richard Pryor' before adding Mooney had confirmed Walters slept with Pryor.

'And I came back and was like "Joy, guess what! Don't tell nobody!"

Revealing Mooney had claimed to have seen the pair romping, Shepherd told a shocked Behar: 'Paul Mooney said he walked in on them, he walked in on them. That's what he said he looked through the door and... don't act like you don't remember!

'And I said: "Joy, don't tell nobody.'

'The next day, Barbara walks in and you say "So you're schlepping Richard Pryor, huh?

'Barbara's head swiveled like that and she said "who told you that?!" and I'm sitting there, like I had just got this job.

'You do that because you're not scared of Barbara.'

Shepherd added that Behar had a type and said: 'She was going out with a black senator [Edward Brooke] which she talked about in her book, Audition. Colin Powell was her crush.'

It is not known when Walters and Pryor dated - the journalist interviewed him several times in the 1970s and 1980s.

Hey, I had a (man-)crush on Colin Powell myself. Intelligent, disciplined, handsome in his uniform....what's not to like? :p
True fact... everything a man should be. 🤩 I was hoping "way back when" that he'd agree to run for the presidency, but rumor has it that Alma said she'd leave him if he did. True... or just rumor? No idea, but he didn't run, so.... :giggle: They met on a blind date.

I think it would've worked out, because what he DIDN'T have was a huge ego.

Self-assured; yep
Knowledgeable: yesss
Right-minded: absolutely
Cocksure: well, yeah...in a good way

Egotistical: nnnope

Colin Powell showed a great deal of self respect and wisdom in declining to become a political candidate.

I am happy for her. Good for her to have a good time while she was here. Probably Richard had a good time, too. I know I would have had a good time with her, if it were me. Foxie Lady!

If you are shocked by this revelation, you need to get out more often. Life is meant to be lived.

what ?..shocked?.. I'm British.I barely know these people... I couldn't care less.. but I thought it would be of interest to the Americans here, because I understand she was a Huge TV personality..

Oh, really now! "I am British" is almost cliche. Women across the world love this stuff. They pant so hard they practically steam up a fog over the tv screen. Get real. We are all grown ups, here.😍

what on earth are you on?...I said I'm British because Barbara Walters was unknown here, so I couldn't care less about her affairs..... Richard Pryor only known for a couple of movies.. not hugely famous as he was in the USA...your comment about all being grown ups here..doesn't seem to include yourself.. you're slathering over this like a 14 your old boy...:oops::oops:

HD...you know everything! 😂 I tell my friend about the Lady who lives in England but is almost always the first one to post news about what's going on here in America!

Sorry, but I'm going to take this in a different direction. Let me just share my second-hand experience with Sherrie Shepherd, and I can finally post without being political. :ROFLMAO:

I was an executive at a small luxury cruise line for 20 years. We had celebrity speakers on many of our sailings. I don't remember many of them, but Alan Arkin, Patricia Neal, Steve Wozniak (Apple co-founder), Richard Stone (Royal portrait painter for 4 decades), Captain Scott Kelly (American Astronaut) come to mind. So there was some serious history, experience and knowledge being shared with our clients.

I'm not sure who reached out to Sherrie Shepherd but our Director of PR at the time was responsible for booking the speakers. He told me that Sherrie Shepherd was one of the nastiest, most demanding potential speakers he'd worked with and that if she didn't get the absolute top accommodations and "this and that" she wouldn't sail. Fortunately he turned her down. I guess she was big in the early 2000's but I'm not sure she would have appealed to our audience anyway.

So, based on my experience I have not one iota of interest in anything she tries to push to the media.

Thanks. I really needed to know that. What the two have in common is beyond me. What's next? Moe Howard and Mother Teresa? If anything, I guess in some cases, opposites do attract.

WTH??? Speak for yourself and not "women across the world." Good gracious, I usually don't say anything when I see such obvious baiting, but then some days things really put me in a pi$$y mood. If you want to see a woman pant, try dating. And if you want to try baiting, go fishing.

I know not of who you speak, neither of them!
..most Brits certainly wouldn't have heard of Barbara Walters, but are more likely aware of Richard Pryor... but that was my point .. we're Brits... most of us know little or nothing about these people.. who were very well known in the USA

O.K. So then I suppose you've never heard of 'daytime soap box operas' like Days of Our Lives, All Our Children, or As the World Turns. These are all about steamy relationships between people, and are daily serials.

Women love this stuff. In the days when women generally stayed home as housewives these were the most popular programs on daytime TV. They were all the rage and often talked about or related to. But, as you say 'You are Brits' and probably never heard of this American stuff.

I guess my understanding of the UK as the center of a great international empire with a very world view was all wrong. It has always been a backwater country of isolated sheep farmers instead. I was all wrong all this time. Thank you for correcting me. Now, I know the truth.😁

I am a woman. I never "panted" over a soap opera. Actually I don't even know what you're talking about. I am an American, have always been... as were my parents and grandparents. I have never been to the UK or out of the U.S. at all. Are you feeling alright? May want to lie down. 🧌
