I agree....but sometimes I think I've gone overboard with tools, over the years. I have a huge 32 drawer Craftsman tool chest in the garage...filled with every imaginable hand tool. In the workshop, I have gobs of tools for woodworking, welding, gardening, logging, plus, my tractor, etc. I keep a nice set of tools in both the car and truck. Sometimes, when I'm digging through my tools looking for a specialty tool, I come up with one that I have no idea of why I bought it, or what I will ever use it for....but given some of the stuff I try to do, or fix, I will probably one day find a need for it. I did "loan" my planer and jointer to one of the Son-in-Laws last year for him to use in a lake house he is refurbishing for retirement...he can probably keep those forever. If I added it all up, I could probably fill an aisle at Lowe's or Home Depot.
