BBC believes you have only read 6 of the 100 listed books. How many have you read?

Hate to admit but I've only read 17. Many I've seen a movie but not read the book. I've got many of them on my kindle but haven't read them yet. Whenever these quizzes are on FB my sis in law always gets at least 80. But she eats books.
 
Do you feel too, that they did not include many great classics, RadishRose?
AS, I did not read any of the fantasy Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter books that most people have. I find it interesting that they are included.
 
I've read 17 of those 100...but I have to tell you they were almost all are..Fiction in that list, and I dont' read fiction any more.. haven't for many years.

That said there's a whole load more fiction I have read which are not listed including every book written by Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie, all of James Herberts' books.... and many more..

I don't think I'd be able to list every book I've read this year much less the books I've read since I was a child...must run into thousands.. :D

Oh and I haven't read Lord of the rings or harry potter either Nona...not my cuppa tea that fantasy style writing ..nor on the big screen
 
I didn't count but I'm guessing I've read about 25 or 30 of them even though I read a lot. I've devoured books since I was about 7. I don't care for fantasy either. I think I read non-fiction just about as much as I read fiction. I especially enjoy biographies.
 
Linda or anyone else that clicks on the link..if you tick the little box in the upper right corner on each book title you've read.. it will give you your total at the end to save you having to keep a mental tally.. :D
 
26 for me. It is only a sample of the canon and I also think there are seminal books not included e.g 1984 (Orwell), Treasure Island (Stevenson), The Heroes (Kingsley).

Also I have read a dozen of Shakespeare's plays but none were listed. No plays by G B Shaw or John Singe on the list either.
 
21 for me. I'm sure we've all read many more than these that are not listed --- new stuff and old, as have most people by the time they get to be our age.
So much to choose from these days and more coming all the time.
 
I want extra points for Crime and Punishment!

I read the Hobbit but not LOTR. But I loved the movies! 1/2 point for each movie?
