BC is Going to Year Round DST

British Columbia, Canada is going to be maintaining Year Round Daylight Saving Time. The Premiere just announced it today. It was voted on in 2019 to start in 2020. Washington, Oregon and California were going to do the same but it was never passed by Congress. Covid interfered too.

It was real surprise to read this. I prefer DST so I’m happy.

Either way it means not dealing with time changes twice a year. I'd be all in for that.

changing the time twice a year is the dumbest thing i've ever seen and utterly useless. it's a pita and not the least bit enjoyable. i wish they'd do away with it in the US.

I like daylights saving - the hour of light in the evening is great - but would be too dark i n the mornings in winter if it didn't change back.

^^ well yes of course the actual hours of daylight don't change - but changing back for winter means kids aren't going to school i n the dark
