You are not alone, baby boomer I might be, but the sixties musical revolution went right over my head. I was dancing, as in Latin & Ballroom, to the likes of Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman among others. Singers like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin would always float my boat.Neither for me really...
CCM TARGA 10 speed for ladies, had it for a decade. After V handles Banana seat purple bicycle. The latter gave me my precious thighs. All that peddling power, built them muscles. The above terse era history noted, probably my favorite Beach Boys song is Good Vibrations and favorite Beatles song Hey Jude. I really loved John Lenon and felt horrible after he was murdered.
As for 10-speed bikes, that was another new California craze of that day that soon spread worldwide. I rarely ride bikes now as is way too dangerous on our urban roads and have way too many other outdoor interests.
you're confusing me still , lol... doesn't take much I must admit.. but again you make reference of all things American.. Ed sullivan show etc.. but you said you're not American ?...Papa fixed the problems between to siblings with an age gap of 13 years.
At four years, I got the first The Beatles records/vinyls and all that followed. I saw them on Ed Sullivan show while getting my 5 feet if hair tended by Papa. Detangler spray, wide toothed comb and The Beatles with cutsie Paul McCartney, I won the bet. Yeah for me. Hoping my collection of vinyls helped the BHF during the auction, back in 2019.
I met Paul McCartney in 82 at his London office, we shared pizza and Guiness... Memories!!!
Older sibling was working by then, she got to buy The Beach Boys only...![]()
