Bed sheets

Micka. I can't tell you how often I think about you in relation to outdoor clotheslines.

I just finished hanging a load of washing on the line a couple of hours ago and thought of you as I was pulling, tugging, flapping, and pinning.

So this morning have been busy reviewing old clothesline thread topics and came across this one.

I know you have wanted a line forever... so, have you crossed over to the other side and are now line-drying? :)

So I bought a fitted set of king bed sheets for my wife awhile ago. It is an adjustable bed so their are two mattresses. Only thing is…I didn’t know there was a difference in king beds and California king size beds. The ones I bought are quite a bit larger that the CA sheets would be. We use them and they are good quality sheets but plenty big for our bed. Next time I will ask before I buy.

Are you sure that's how things are going to unfold "next time", Paps?

My bet is Mrs. Paps, informed you that under no uncertain terms would you be purchasing bed sheets again, and my bet is she cusses you every time she makes up the bed with those loose-fitting sheets. :giggle:

A few years ago I read a recommendation by The Wirecutter (a review/testing site owned by the New York Times) that said the LL Bean 280 thread count Pima cotton sheets were the best of all. So, I bought a set ($150 for queen sized) and they were right if, like me, you prefer cool, crisp and soft sheets.

I used to wake up stuck to the bottom sheet. These were old KMart sheets , some kind of poly something or other. I got all Egyptian cotton sheets. And no more stuck to the sheets stuff.
I loathe polyester.

I refuse to buy anything that isn't 100% cotton.

As for Egyptian cotton sheets, there is no better. We have 1000 TC Egyptian cotton sheets on our bed, and nothing I have slept on in my day even comes close to competing with.

Yes, and she lets (makes) me help her make the bed.
