Hello all. I’m back after a week in the hospital with Aspiration Pneumonia. (look it up) went by ambulance to the hospital on the 15th of last month. My O2 in an ambulance was 76% They put me on pure O2 & it came up to 89%
After many tests in the hospital, finally found out I had food going into my lungs & no room for O2. They got me with a speech therapist to help show me how to strengthen the flapper by lungs so no food would go in there.
I have only certain foods I can eat, very small bites & all my drinks has to have thickener in them so it ill passes the flapper without going into my lungs. It’s like trying to drink a very thick milkshake but the taste is worse.
My eyes were very blurry from not getting my shot in my eye. So I couldn’t be on the computer. I got my shot yesterday Feb. 1st. Dr. said I had lots of blood in my right eye, so he doubled the dose in the shot.
Now my eyes have cleared up & things are looking up. Got lots of P.T. to do because of in a hospital bed for a week. Also, all the exercises to do for my throat.
