Belgian Woman Dies After Contracting Two COVID Strains At Once

Was the second variant simply present/a positive test. And how are the variants tested for. Theyre already issues with the way test for the original covid because if the test ie cycles are set too high just about anything will come out positive. Aparently some say the cycles should be as low as 27 yet during much of the pandemic a standard of 40-60 was used in many a test.

As rapidly as this virus hit...and spread...it is unlikely that the doctors and scientists have been able to come up with data that is 100% accurate. Then, too, everyone's body is likely to react differently to these vaccines....especially if they already have any underlying health conditions. Maybe, someday, years from now, science will have some Real answers, but for now, all a person can do is judge the predominance of current knowledge, and act accordingly.

The variants are causing all sorts of grief in Europe. Today France announced that only the vaccinated and those testing negative are allowed in restaurants. Furthermore, by September 15 all healthcare workers must be vaccinated or else.

So are they testing people at the doors of restaurants before allowing them in? That's the only way to know for sure they are virus free. If a person tests negative this morning, they can be infected before dinner time.

At least the vaccine seems to work against the new variants. So far, anyway. Fingers crossed.
