Here's my conversation with my Son via phone:
"Mom, What do you want for Christmas? I want to get you something you really want!"
me: "(laugh) Well, Nothing electronic or high tech! and nothing with a plug!"
"Well?"
me: "I know!" An L.L. Bean heavy duty sleeping bag! I'd love that!"
"What? Why?"
"To camp out in! To sleep under the stars!"
"Seriously? Mom, You're not 20 anymore!"
"No, nor am I 120!"
I know what you would like! A tablet! I'll get you a tablet!"
Apparently I'm getting a tablet, instead of what I want. Don't know what it does exactly. Isn't it something like an "Etch-O-Sketch?

I think it's a bit smaller and lighter, and more easily portable than a laptop, that does lots of things a laptop would do. Nice to read on, or for quick checks on other sites, from bed or anyplace.
I think it's an on-screen one. Not bad to use, though, as it's larger than a phone one would be.No keyboard though, right?

My much younger female doctor, when I was separated, advised me to find a partner 10 yrs. my junior! That was some years ago. She, herself, has a younger husband.
How about those word search books (Just about everyone in my apartment building does those)? Or a puzzle, adult coloring books with gel pens, an armchair caddy (for remotes, phones, etc.) or one of those small heating pads that go in the microwave. Slippers are always good but you'd have to know their size.Wondering what are the best gifts you have received as a senior? Looking for ideas for 79 yr old male and 94
