Beware Going Through TSA Checkpoints

I have never had a difficult TSA or airport experience in the US.

To wit: after my mother passed we were taking her ashes across the country to be interred in the family burial plot. The Los Angeles Airport TSA agent couldn't have been more respectful or sensitive when handling the urn. He asked about some metal pieces that the x-ray picked up in the ashes. I explained that Mom had been hooked on a certain kind of candy that came in a foil wrapper so we enclosed a few of them for her to enjoy. He chuckled warmly, gave us back the urn, expressed his condolences on our loss, and we went on our way.

I am grateful that we have TSA in place. Yes, it can cause problems but the law was made to keep us safe. When my husband was in clinical trial for cancer we had to fly every week or two from Dallas to Phoenix(Scottsdale) I carried all his medical information. He had severe lymphedema in one arm that had to be wrapped with many layers of ace bandages. He also lite up like a christmas tree with so much, I guess it was radio active material from Cat Scans. We were always ready for the review. They even would take swabs from his arm to make sure the bandaging was not soaked in anything. The other passengers were right there, I hope it gave them peace of mind,
