Big screen TV as art?????

Humongous wide screen TVs are not the most attractive decor when they're shut off. There's a trend to keep them on 24/7 with videos of roaring fires, tranquil summer/winter/spring/autumn videos. In fact any video anyone wants. The TVs act as moving wall art. Have gotten into the trend?

Why not? Playing Jingle Cats on it at Christmas is great.

Plus, Mozart on that big soundbar is awesome! And the little swimming fish thing is wonderful for cats. Might as well use it for artwork, beats paying hundreds of dollars for a painting.

Not here
I never touch the remote
My lady fiddles with it
Got the aquarium if we want it
The grands like that

Our humongous beast is sitting on my humongous live edge stand beast I carved

Truth be told
If that floppy air guy was on
I'd be mesmerized for days

SSon and his wife have a tv that looks like a piece of art when it’s turned off. It has an attractive frame around it. It’s a nice way to make a monstrous piece of technology fit into the decor.

One of the Flat Screen TV manufacturers, a couple of
years ago, made one with a camera at the back, I think,
when it was off, it put a picture of the wall from behind
onto the screen, this made the set seem to disappear,
this must have been a poor idea, as I have never heard
of it again!

One example here.

Mike.
